I’m a Los Angeles–based ceramicist and the founder of Steve’s Backhouse, my studio, shop, and creative space.

I treat my pottery like a sketchbook, covering handmade ceramic forms with original illustrations, poetry, and passing thoughts that range from funny to sentimental.

My work is personal and imperfect, with each piece carrying the marks of the hand that made it.

Through Steve’s Backhouse, I’ve expanded that practice beyond my own work, creating a space for workshops, events, and collaborations that bring artists, makers, and the community together.
